Privacy policy
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how it is shared to operate Match My GC.
1. Information we collect
- Account and profile identifiers needed for authentication.
- Your mobile number and a record of your consent, if you choose to receive text messages.
- Business onboarding data and supporting uploaded records.
- If you connect a calendar, the times you are busy in it (never what your events are).
- Verification and matching outputs generated by platform flows.
- Operational logs needed for reliability and security.
2. Why we process information
- Provide onboarding, verification, and matching features.
- Protect platform integrity and reduce fraud or misuse risks.
- Support account lifecycle workflows, including data deletion.
3. Data sharing and processors
We share data with service providers that enable core platform functionality (for example authentication, storage, verification, and payment workflows when enabled).
If you connect your own AI assistant (for example Claude or ChatGPT), it reads your matches and messages on your instructions, and the company that runs it handles that information under its own terms. Members it writes to see who it acts for. We log what each assistant does so you can review it in Account → AI assistants, and you can revoke an assistant at any time.
4. Text messages (SMS)
Text messages are optional and off until you turn them on and confirm your number with a code. We use your mobile number only to send the account updates and message alerts you asked for, and to deliver your text replies to the conversation they answer. We keep a record of when and how you consented, and of the texts we send and receive, for compliance and support.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is shared only with our SMS provider (Telnyx) and the mobile carriers needed to deliver messages. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or turn texts off in Account → Notifications.
5. Connected calendars
Connecting a calendar is optional. When you schedule a call with a match, we read only the times you are busy, so we can suggest times that suit you both. We never read, store or show the titles, places, attendees or notes of your events. The other member never sees your calendar or your busy times, only the times that work for both of you. If you choose a calendar for confirmed calls, we add those calls to it, and change or remove them when the call moves or is cancelled.
Your calendar password, sign-in token or private calendar link is stored encrypted and used only for this. Remove a calendar in Account → Calendars at any time: we delete what we stored and, where the provider allows it, revoke our access. Deleting your account does the same for every calendar.
Match My GC's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Calendar data only to find times you are free and to add your confirmed calls. We do not use it for advertising, do not sell it, do not use it to train AI models, and people on our team can read it only with your permission, for security, or when the law requires it.
6. Session recording
To find and fix problems faster, we use LogRocket to record how pages on Match My GC are used: what you see, where you click, what you type into our forms, errors on the page, and your browser, device, IP address and approximate location. When you are signed in, or after you send us a form, the recording is tied to your email and name. Our team uses it only for support, fixing bugs and improving the product, and we do not sell it.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or if we can't tell where you are, we only record after you agree. Elsewhere recording is on unless you turn it off, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a no. Your choice is saved on this device and takes effect right away.
If you delete your account, we also ask LogRocket to delete your recordings, including ones made under an email you used before. That finishes within 24 hours, and you are not recorded again under those emails.
7. Retention and deletion
Data is retained only as long as needed for platform operations, contractual obligations, and compliance requirements. Account deletion triggers cleanup workflows for associated profile and processor data.
8. Security controls
We apply access controls, private storage patterns, and verified service integrations to protect data in transit and at rest.
